Shopping for change

Fewer things are more fun than shopping for a good cause. Such is the case this weekend, when the RAGS Guild Wearable Art Show and Sale takes over Larson’s Mercedes-Benz of Tacoma in Fife to benefit the YWCA-Pierce County.
Nearly 70 juried artists have designed one-of-a-kind jewelry, clothing and accessories for sale, with proceeds going to support the YWCA’s domestic violence prevention and intervention programs. The event is free and open to the public Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
RAGS raised $87,000 for the YWCA last year and is set to top $115,000 this year as a stretch goal as a way to break the $1 million mark in contributions to the YW since RAGS’ inception.
