Sidebar: 4th of July Festivities

What to do on the 4th?  We could hang with 400k of our closest friends at the tall ships, bbq at our house and walk down to old town, or leave town entirely.  We received an invitation to a BBQ somewhere between Sumner and Bonney Lake.  The invite closed with this:

Please bring your own lawn chairs. We’ll relax on the back deck and in the back yard around the fire pit.

One more thing, the neighborhood looks like something out of Deliverance. Don’t be scared; nobody will pull a shotgun on you.
