Sixth Avenue BD to Get Parking Consultant

Tipped off via email and found in the Sixth Avenue Business District’s August Newsletter:

Rick Packie said the city has retained a consulting firm in Seattle for a parking study. Meetings will be coming up in early fall. The firm will provide a cost benefit analysis of potential remedies. John Loesch said the last meeting was good with neighbors input but said restaurants are apparently not concerned and are not suffering from parking.

The “last time we talked about The Sixth Avenue Business District parking situation”:/328/sixth-avenue-parking, it got pretty exciting around here.  What’s changed since February?  We have more restaurants and retail going in and no new parking from what I can tell.  Will the consultants bring up the streetcars?  We hope so, but we aren’t holding our breath.
