Soul Comes to Proctor

We've been looking forward to seeing a new dining establishment opening in the old Old House Cafe space at the north end of the Proctor District, so we're happy to see that this Friday a new restaurant called Soul will be re-opening its doors at the quaint yellow house at the corner of 27th and Proctor.
According to the TNT, Soul will serve Latin American and Southern comfort foods. So expect a menu featuring Puerto Rican, Cuban, and Peruvian dishes alongside good old fashioned southern fried catfish. The restaurant, operated by the co-owners of Vinum downtown on Pacific, will open for business this Friday at 11 a.m. The Soul Facebook page promises an opening day special to whet your appetite.
Friday...starting @ 11am! Opening Day $6 Catfish special! Crispy fried w/ 2 sides! (dine-in only). Yum!
No word yet on whether your grandmother will find Soul as charming as the Old House Cafe. You'll have to take her to lunch and find out.
