Spaceworks Indeed

This week brought good news from the folks at Spaceworks – the collaboration between the City, Chamber, and Shunpike that places entrepreneurs and artists in low or no cost spaces that would otherwise be empty. Fab-5 and N. Dybevik Piano Co. have been filling their spaces in the building at 13th and MLK for six months now, and it’s working well for them. According to a story in the Business Examiner, the two organizations are now ready to transition to a lease in the spaces they’ve been using through the program. This is a really simple economic development model that appears to be working. We’re looking forward to more success stories!
