Sponsorship Opportunities - Walk Tacoma 2012

Downtown On the Go is looking for local businesses to sponsor walks for Walk Tacoma 2012. Sponsors receive visibility in all DOTG marketing efforts and the opportunity to speak to more than 50 participants at each walk. This is the third year of the program, designed to get downtown employees out of their offices, to get them active, and to increase awareness of walkable distances. Last year’s walks averaged about 50 attendees of all ages, and this year’s walks promise even more incentives to get out and take a walk.

The 2012 Walk Tacoma Series will begin in April in conjunction with National Walking Day, dates and walks as follows:

April 4, 2012, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. (walk at noon) ~ Wright Park to Stadium District Walk

April 20, 2012, 12 – 1 p.m. ~ Brewery District to South Downtown Walk

June 6, 2012, 5:15 – 6:15 p.m. ~ South Waterfront to Tacoma Dome Station Walk

June 22, 2012, 12 – 1 p.m. ~ North Waterfront to Theatre District Walk

August 1, 2012, 5:15 – 6:15 p.m. ~ Downtown to Hilltop Walk

August 17, 2012, 12 – 1 p.m. ~ New route

Walk Event Sponsorships are available for each of the six walks for just $200 each, and one Series Sponsorship is available for all six walks at $1,000. Get more details and sponsorship contact information from Downtown On The Go.
