Stand for Children Fall Campaign Kickoff - Tomorrow

The Tacoma Chapter of Stand for Children, an advocacy organization which helps form grassroots groups to make improvements for children, will begin their fall campaign this Saturday. Legislative candidates Kim Abel (Gig Harbor) and Debi Srail (Lakewood) will speak on the state of education in Washington, and Stand for Children members will discuss how they plan to protect education funding in the 2009 legislative session, policies that address teacher shortages, and support for new teachers.
