Stand for Children Kickoff

We don’t usually cover the kids/school beat but since many of you have kids and care about our schools, we thought this email was very interesting.

Stand for Children is an organization that works in 4 states as a grassroots citizens lobby that advocates for increased funding for and improvements to public schools.

They are starting a the first local campaign this June & July to prepare for efforts as a state-wide network to win increases in state funding for local schools.

The purpose of the Tacoma Kickoff event is to learn about Stand for Children, voice your concerns for kids, and join in our movement to improve Tacoma schools.
