Students & Community Members Plan to Rally in Support of KPLU

We've been following the story of the sale of KPLU to KUOW since it was announced.  Concerns about and opposition to the sale have come from a number of corners, from worries about the loss of local news and programming, to concerns about the seemingly abrupt sale of the public radio station.

Now the students are getting involved. Tomorrow at noon PLU students plan to lead a protest in the school's Red Square, followed by a march around campus. The students and community members who plan to attend are rallying in support of KPLU, particularly highlighting the student opportunities they fear will be lost if the sale goes through.

The students have extended the invite to community members and KPLU supporters to join them in asking that the sale be reconsidered.
