TAM's Metal-Urge Community Festival and Iron Artist Competition

What do you get when you give 20 artists lots of metal and only 60 minutes each to design a piece of wearable art? You get the Tacoma Art Museum’s Metal-Urge Free Community Festival and Iron Artist Competition. This Friday, TAM will be hosting a bevy of activities including dance, music, wire sculpture, wearable art in the classroom and the Iron Chef styled art competition. Admission is FREE to the event and the museum.

It’s important to note that Exit133’s very own Derek Young is one of the judges at this event and that he has a keen eye for detail (and a peculiar fondness for rivets).
