Tacoma Christmas- A Cultured Dec. 2nd
December 2nd, 2007
Tacoma’s gritty history has been touched with a little culture in recent years. And, our guess is that some of your friends think they’re cultured too. We know the truth, but at least they can act the part by becoming a patron of the arts with a little bit of help from you. The Museum of Glass, Washington State History Museum and Tacoma Art Museum are all a part of the new side of Tacoma. A membership to one of the museums will give and give and give all year long. Buy a membership for someone and put a sparkle in their grit this year.

What a smart I idea for some of our street people. For 50 bucks a year or less they can gain unfettered admission to any one of these fine institutions with impunity and get out of the cold and rain and be in relative comfort during the day. It looks to me that the Historical Society gives the best bang for the buck being they are open 7 days a week. So how about it, get your favorite panhandler a museum membership and you’ll be doing more for him or her than all the social service and non-profit agencies do for a cost of about 15 cents a day.
