Tacoma Farmers' Markets Abound
Two more Tacoma farmers’ markets are set to kick off their 2012 season next week, and the South Tacoma market won’t be far behind.

Sixth Avenue Farmers’ Market
On Tuesday, May 1 the Sixth Avenue market will once again put up tents and tables on North Pine street between 6th Avenue and North 7th.
Opening Day – May 1st
6th Ave & N. Pine Street
Tuesdays through September 25th
Hours: 3:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Broadway Farmers’ Market
Then, on Thursday, May 3 you will once again be able to stroll down Broadway between South 9th and South 11th, and bring back those big, beautiful bouquets that make everyone’s day (hint, hint…).
Opening Day – May 3rd
Thursdays through October 25th
Hours: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

South Tacoma Farmers’ Market
Now in its second year, the South Tacoma market is going strong, and growing. And in 2012 it’s moving to a new location in the brand spanking new Metro Parks STAR Center.
Opening Day – June 3rd
New Location for 2012: Metro Parks – STAR Center | 3873 S. 66th Street
Sundays through September 30th
Hours: 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Proctor Farmers’ Market
Don’t forget the Proctor market, which has been going weekly for nearly a month, and kept us supplied with good fresh veggies at monthly markets over the winter months.
North 27th & Proctor
Saturdays through November 24th
Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Tacoma Food Co-op
And, if you can’t make any of those markets, or if you need something fresh, local, and organic in between markets, the Tacoma Food Co-op may have what you need.
6th and Junett
Store Hours: Monday-Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Sundays 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
