Tacoma Film Festival Poster Announced

The Grand Cinema announced Thursday the winning poster design for the 2010 Tacoma Film Festival.
The contest drew 195 entries from all over the nation and world. The winning design was submitted by Jason Larche, a graphic designer and illustrator from Norwalk, Conn.
The fifth annual 2010 Tacoma Film Festival is slated to run October 7-14, with films screening at locations all around the city. The selection committee received a record 320 submissions this year, so the festival should be a great one.

RR? I am assuming you did an entry?
It’s a clean looking poster though. It looks the business too. It’s block buster lettering may even have some in the industry looking at the bridge above and wondering: “what is this Tacoma, a neighborhood of San Fran?”
320 submissions? That could be just quantity not quality (but damn good pat yourself on the back, Tacomaphilia material).
Let me guess though, Black Swan is not one of the submissions. Well we can’t all be the Venice Film Festival. You know, Venice, the people who brought you the Renaissance?

Notice I said bridge, as in single bridge, not the mismatched two bridges you are now paying for. For all that toll money they could have at least made the fkers match. No doubt why Larche decided to leave out the second bridge because it would have fked up his perfectly symmetrical world. Way to go Tacoma! Fk up a symmetry freaks symmetry! Now thats what its all about.

agree w/ Lost – Guess this guy from CT hasn’t been here in a while. Surprised he didn’t have the Luzon in the background too.
Or was he working on S.F.‘s film festival poster and changed the lettering at the last minute.
