Tacoma Live Guide

A new city guide goes into distribution this Friday. Published by Premier Media Group with help from the City, “Tacoma Live” is aimed at attracting new residents to Tacoma and giving helpful information to those passing through for a night or two.
It’s a limited print run for now, with distribution focused on hotels, relocation packets for the Chamber, and the Tacoma Visitor Center at the downtown Courtyard by Marriott, etc. So let the newcomers get the first copies for now, or read and then replace.
We got to check out the publication earlier this week and were impressed with what we saw. It should be a good resource for someone who’s looking to head out for a night on the town, whether they are trying out Tacoma as a place to live or just here for a convention.
Roxanne Murphy, of Forward Tacoma, leads it off with her own story about her move from Seattle to Tacoma. The magazine also includes helpful (and short) lists, which is handy for a tourist who wants a good recommendation quickly (Top 5 Martini Spots, the Happiest Happy Hour, Tables for Two, etc).
There’s also a lot of neighborhood information, good photographs, and even the ads seem to be pretty useful, especially if you’re planning to move in to town.
The square size will make this city guide stand out and will help showcase a lot of the new dining, nightlife, and entertainment opportunities Tacoma provides.
