Tacoma Narrows Half Marathon - This Saturday
With summer in full swing that means it must be time for a lovely run in the sun. Have you been training? The Tacoma Narrows Half Marathon is tomorrow and the course sounds fascinating. Starting in Gig Harbor and taking participants across the Narrows Bridge, the course will make it’s way through Cheney Stadium with the runners making a lap of the warning track around the baseball field before proceeding onto the finish line at Tollefson Plaza. If you’re wearing your extra speedy running shoes, you may even get to trot alongside two notable runners, Sean Sundwall (USA Olympic Marathon Trials Qualifier) and Mike Lynes (Three time Tacoma City Marathon Champion).
Today is the last day for online registration. If you somehow miss the 5:00 deadline and still want to run you can register at the starting line tomorrow morning. Here’s all the nitty gritty:
