Tacoma Public Library Presents Caspar Babypants

We know that you like to get out and enjoy Tacoma. And we know that at least a few of you have kids that want to get outside and enjoy Tacoma too. Well, the fine folks at the Tacoma Public Library are hosting Caspar Babypants tomorrow morning at 10:30 am for a concert aimed at kids aged 2 to 5 and families.
Caspar Babypants makes simple sing-along music for baby brains and parent ears. Caspar Babypants is also known as Chris Ballew, lead singer of the rock and roll band The Presidents of the United States of America. As a musician playing music for young children and their parents, Ballew is committed to creating music that’s a positive helping component in the home and car. He wants to help new parents sing to, and with, their child with songs that are fun and bouncy.
Seating is limited and on a space-available basis.

10:30 AM is the time of the show- not tomorrow night. :-) Thank you for posting.

I took my daughter to the show at Wheelock earlier this month. Chris does a great show.

Tacoma Public Library disappointed me when upon moving here from the Southwest, I found that its’ “Holiday” section was one whole wall of books great but – all of them were about Christmas. In this great city are there no other cultures and no other holidays for the library to steward and promote?
When I asked a librarian about it’s seeming ethnocentric bias, she was very short with me saying, “That is all that our library visitors want.” which reminded me of the ugly side of being, “Gritty Tacoma”. It could be that we came from rough stock and are better for it, or it could mean we are ignorant and proud of it.
For this exchange, I go less to the library and its events.

John, there are 10 branches of the Tacoma Public Library. I invite you to visit them all and inquire about the Holiday section. Plus, Pierce County Library system has branches throughout the County- you might try checking out one of their branches as well.
