What On Earth is Permaculture?
Permaculture: “per⋅ma⋅cul⋅ture“ [pur-muh-kuhl-cher] – Noun, 1.) a system of cultivation intended to maintain permanent agriculture or horticulture by relying on renewable resources and a self-sustaining ecosystem.
We know that many of you are interested in local and the local food system. Here’s another opportunity for learn more.
Sustainable Tacoma Pierce is giving a public talk “What on Earth is Permaculture?” on January 28th (TOMORROW). This is your chance to learn how integrating earth based solutions with a sustainable, positive vision for the community’s future.
For those interested in taking their understanding further, Sustainable Tacoma Pierce is offering a Permaculture Design Certification Course starting in February and running one weekend a month through September. Topics will include: Perennial Gardens, Food Forests, Wildcrafting, Village Design, and Natural Building plus many more.
