Tacoma Sustainability Summit on Feb 9th
Reminder: This is tomorrow!
The University of Washington Tacoma will play host to the 2008 Environmental Sustainability Exposition. The event is a great opportunity for residents of Tacoma to learn about services, products, companies and agencies that address sustainability. Topics addressed will including transportation alternatives, green construction, energy conservation, waste minimization and recycling, alternative energy sources, global climate change initiatives and more. The event is FREE and open to the public.
The day will include presentations and many exhibits from community groups, companies, and government sources.

From what I understand, the Sunday portion is a summit of local “institutions of higher education” (universities and community colleges) to discuss on-campus sustainability initiatives. Still free, no doubt, but less of an expo for the general public than Saturday’s portion of the event. Perhaps someone more in the know can clarify, though.
