Tacoma Urban Arts Festival

The Tacoma Urban Arts Festival is this Sunday, June 25th at South 9th and Broadway. What will you see?  Live music.  Live DJs.  Live glass blowing with Chico.  Local Art.  And judging from the poster, Godzilla will come stomping down Pacific Avenue to all of our delight and amusement.  I haven’t seen Godzilla in years!  (via Tacomaness)

I’dlike to see non-glare windowson the first floors of all buildings with businesses in them. That way you can see right into the building/store while walking or driving by during the day or night.

If one has higher densities of population it makes a lot of sense to have smart transportation (less motor vehicles).Encourage the use of walking, bicycles and especially electric bike use for transportation/commuting needs rather than wasteful, polluting, traffic congesting personal single occupancy cars which take up a lot of parking space too.Too often people are extremely wasteful and inefficient driving cars just to go a couple of miles.Roads, tunnels and bridges are very expensive for taxpayers.Drastically reduce the dangerous fossil fuel guzzlers and make it costly for very selfish wasteful and obese people. If you drive I should be able to blow cigarette smoke in your face since you exhaust bad pollutants that I breath out of your car.
