Tacoma Writes A Novel ... Tomorrow

If you’ve got a Great American Novel in you somewhere, National Novel Writing Month is the thing for you. There’s more than 200 people registered on the site who are going to attempt it. You should too!

Join fellow writers Tuesday night at Suite133 at 6:00 pm for a kickoff event, and get ready to start writing November 1.

I’ve got a cat-and-mouse book in mind about a detective trying to prove his suspect is a serial killer. Sure it’s cliche, but I don’t know that I could write anything that wasn’t in a month’s time.

50,000 words. One month. But at the end of the month, you’ll have a first draft of a novel ready to go.

Join us tomorrow night for the kickoff, and every Tuesday after that.

What a smart I idea for some of our street people. For 50 bucks a year or less they can gain unfettered admission to any one of these fine institutions with impunity and get out of the cold and rain and be in relative comfort during the day. It looks to me that the Historical Society gives the best bang for the buck being they are open 7 days a week. So how about it, get your favorite panhandler a museum membership and you’ll be doing more for him or her than all the social service and non-profit agencies do for a cost of about 15 cents a day.
