Tacoma's Luzon Building in Google Earth

Tacoma’s first 3-D building to appear in Google Earth is the Luzon Building at 13th and Pacific.  The circa 1890 building, on the various historic registers including the National Historic Register, is still waiting for its day to shine again.  This building, in all its gritty glory, is there for you to see, pan, tilt, zoom, and investigate.  The detail is quite amazing.  Hanging over the building is a “unique poster from the Public Recovery Archive”.  All in all, I’m very impressed.  (Nice job, Ixora)

Instructions (aka Geek Details):  To view the Luzon Building, you’ll need to have Google Earth 4 loaded on your computer.  Release 4 is the current beta version.  Once ready, click on the <a href="/Page":http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=edb5628dbce28d7a116fec5adc70d174">Luzon Building Download Link.  Then click on the “View in Google Earth 4 button.  At that point you should zoom down from space and land in Tacoma.  Zoom in and around to see the building and read the poster.
