Tacoma's Strategic Plan Priorities

We started into this discussion last week. Now, the city is looking for your input on its strategic plan and they’ve set up a website to accept it. In particular, the Tacoma City Council seeks your feedback regarding its three strategic priorities for 2005 to 2010.

  • What does a safe, healthy, livable community mean to you?
  • What does a balanced, vibrant economy mean to you?
  • What does a results-oriented government mean to you?

Click through the link and let the City know what you think.

Unsure of that the marketing slogans have to do with anything; However, I believe that more TAGRO hats and NECKTIES would improve things greatly.

I’ve got mine and I feel fine.

    R.R.,

Are BOTH the hats and neckties made of Tagro or just the hats?

  • RR Anderson January 16, 2008

Mr. Mofo, they are both of a TAGRO nature.

Fear Not, I shall document them in an upcoming FTPI edition titled: “RR Anderson’s Fashion Accessories for Real Men”

    Mr. Anderson:

I have a feeling that you’re flippin’ me Tagro.

  • RR Anderson January 16, 2008

I am a political cartoonist dealing in results-oriented truth sir. I never lie.

What does Tagro mean to you?

  • Republican (By Default) January 16, 2008

It means they’re going to spend a lot of time in meetings and a lot of money on programs that are doomed to fail. But that’s what government does, and they’re very good at it.

But to answer the questions, I honestly have to say that the way to achieve those things is to have the smallest government that is possible under the circumstances.

RXRA @6: “What does Tagro mean to you?”

It doesn’t mean anything to me personally.

But one time a guy told me that Tacoma politicians made him feel like a mushroom because they kept him in the dark and fed him Tagro.

Ok wait. What are we talking about here? What the heck is Tagro? is that poo?

  • RR Anderson January 16, 2008

Sassy, Tagro is a magic inside every resident of our little city of destiny.

Tagro is safe, healthy & livable.

    Tagro is balanced & vibrant.

Most of all Tagro is results-oriented.

    Tagro is in Me;
Tagro is in You right now.

  • Sassy McButterpants January 16, 2008

Results oriented? That does sound like me. Huzzah, Tagro!

  • Phil January 17, 2008

I’m envisioning Sassy as a Jewish gay male.

  • Sassy McButterpants January 17, 2008

It’s true that my jewish inner gay man is quite close to the surface. To come back to the topic, I have no opinion on results oriented government at all… But the “Balanced Vibrant Economy” sounds really nice. Does that mean not having the entire city dependent on one or two employers? Cause that would be great. As would more shopping (H&M!!) and a place to buy 12 hour lipstick downtown.

    Amen

    H&M is opening in SouthCenter.

  • Sassy McButterpants January 17, 2008

Jake- I know! I heard it on NPR. But wouldn’t it be sweet if you could walk there? Think of how much cuter and fashion forward the ladies of this town would look.
