Take Action for Tacoma's Farmers Markets
Do you enjoy visiting farmers markets? Is it important to you to have a source of fresh, healthy, and local food?
The Federation of Tacoma Farmers Markets, a collaboration among the city’s three farmers markets, has made a request for $75,000 from the Tacoma City Council. The federation asks that you show your support for the farmers market movement in Tacoma by contacting your city council member today.
You can call 591-5100 to leave a message for your representative, or send an email using the directory at CityofTacoma.org.
For more information about Tacoma’s farmers markets, visit Tacoma Farmers Market on Broadway, Proctor Farmers Market, and Sixth Ave Farmers Market.

Could you explain more about the money they are asking for?
Are they asking for money already in place for community events/activities/programs or just asking for $75,000 out of the general budget?
