Tall Ships - Update

We saw the crowds. We saw the boats. It was great to see so many people on the water and walking along the waterfront. The number of small boats on the water on Thursday was amazing. The number of people walking through downtown on a Sunday was equally amazing.

The boats themselves were impressive, but we’re always impressed by old wooden boats. Show us 100+ foot long wooden boats and we’re a mess. Unfortunately, we weren’t looking to stand in line for hours to board the boats and get the official tour. If you did go on board, tell us about it. Was it worth the wait?

I’m sometimes skeptical of crowd statistics, but the event seems to have been a success.
