Tasting Tacoma
The November edition of Seattle Magazine has a review of Tacoma’s dining scene. With the subtitle, “There’s more to the City of Destiny than glass and urban grit” we thought a Seattle-ite may finally understand us.
The restaurants chosen are an eclectic bunch. El Gaucho. E-9. Mad Hat Tea Company (kudos to them, but what?). Primo Grill. Asado and Masa. Hello Cupcake. And a few others just as random. On the whole his reviews of everyone are positive, but the overall tone of the article never leaves the Seattle-looking-down-at-Tacoma vibe.
The author polishes off the article with this, “My expectation is that much more of Tacoma’s food scene will eventually be as polished as its glass, giving us all good reason to hop a train for the City of Destiny”. Well then.
So, tonight we recommend getting out and celebrating our great city. There are lots of things going on….
Seattle-ites just can’t handle our grit. Too bad for them.
