THA Planning New Community

From what we hear, the Tacoma Housing Authority is planning a 75 unit rental Townhome community on East Mckinley Ave. @ East 60th Street – the old Hillsdale Lumber Yard property.

Catapult Community Developers (Triangle Townhomes, Bridge Condos) is the Consultant for the THA on this development.

From our tipster, “With the city complaining about the high concentration of low income in on location at the Winthrop, it interest me why the THA would want to put 75 rental units in one location. I think a mix of owner occupied units and rentals like Salishan would be a better bet.”
