The Chairman of the Museum of Glass Responds

So George H. Weyerhaeuser Jr. decided to jump into the Museum of Glass / News Tribune debate with a letter to the paper. My first thought was that silence would’ve been a better answer. I was expecting to read something a bit more defensive. Other than the title of the letter (provided by the paper I assume), “Museum of Glass moving on right track,” it’s an okay letter with decent responses to Ms. Graves’ article. The question of whether the mission of the museum is correct or if it’s moving in the right direction is still up in the air.

Funny to see this the week of Wintergrass’ third year in Bellevue.

I’d give the Murano five stars if they hadn’t driven Wintergrass out of town. Now that there will soon be a couple of new downtown hotels, a non-Murano contingent (and the Murano too if they’ve seen the light) should approach the Wintergrass folks with a proposal to bring the festival back.
