The Delin Building Goes Condo?

Once upon a time, we wrote about condo projects and conversions all the time … then the market woke up from its delirious ride and we all needed some aspirin. We don’t seem to be writing so many of those kinds of posts lately, however, we did come across something new. Apparently, the Delin Apartments on the south side of Downtown at 2825 South Delin Street are going condo. If the header image is to believed, we’ll be hearing about “Oasis” sometime soon.

First the Mecca and now the Oasis, I’m sensing a theme here. Maybe the Italian naming is just played out.

    Crenshaw @ 6

What’s next? The Bostwick goes condo and they call it “Climax”?

I can see the flyers and A-Boards now…

mmmm, that is as inspiring as an Extended Care Facility. What, did they stop making Fake-70sRetro-Earthtone-Condo-Paint?

Not a bad neighborhood up there. Nice views. Unfortunately, it’s not really within walking distance of any business establishments, and the street configuration makes it challenging to be a pedestrian anyway. Plans were filed last winter for a 5-story apartment building on 29th, a block away from the big cathedral. Anyone heard what’s happened to that project?

That project (land, plans, etc) had been for sale for a while.
