The Foghorns at Bob's Java Jive on Thursday
They asked so we thought we’d post this little tidbit to end our day today:
The Foghorns, a band from Seattle with midwestern roots and an Icelandic influence, will be playing Bob’s Java Jive tomorrow night. That’s about all we know. However, an evening at the Java Jive is almost always a good time. Plus, reading the band’s interviews reveals a group with an intriguing history. Check it out.
And yes, we know they are from Seattle, but they asked so nicely.

Never seen you at the Jive. Looking forward to it, though! Wed-Thurs concert dates at the Jive can be hit or miss, but lately they have been quite good, and some of the best shows I have seen have been on those days. Don’t be afraid; it’s South Tacoma Way.

That’s very tempting. It’s a pity they are competing with Ms. Spears and her glorious after party at The Mix…:(

Let me think about that for a sec. Okay; done. I say-I say I’m hip for some Foghorn Reykjavikian/UofW rock. I hope they bring the violinist and I hope the Irish Death is still on tap. Not too long ago Thursday was Tacoma’s Friday. Maybe it is again. The JJ booking is volunteer, and bands always get 100% of the door, so it would be cool if people went to the show, spent money, tipped, and had a good time.
