The Grand Cinema and My Sister's Pantry Team Up

The Grand Cinema has teamed up with My Sister’s Pantry to coordinate a food drive sponsored by the Weekly Volcano. They are asking for movie-goers to bring in non-perishable food items March 6th and receive one free small soda.

Why now? The food drive connects with the newest film to be shown at the Grand.

Wendy and Lucy stars Michelle Williams (Wendy) as a woman down on her luck struggling to make a better life for herself and her dog, Lucy. Attempting a cross country trip to Alaska, Wendy’s life is derailed when her car breaks down and her dog is taken to the pound. The thin fabric of her financial situation comes apart, and she is led through a series of increasingly dire economic decisions.

Sounds like an interesting movie and a great way to connect a film to our community.
