The Helm's Tacoma Poster

Help the Helm

A few weeks back, Daniel Blue told you about the Helm Gallery’s poster and mural project. It’s a fundraiser for the gallery. How does it work? You buy a poster. They’ll fund a mural and the future operations of the gallery. Every buyer will have their name or business included on the mural. So … the posters became available this week.

The poster is 18″ x 24″ and is limited to 300 signed prints. They are $50 a piece. You can buy one at Black Water Cafe, The Helm , Tacoma Art Supply, or online via the link below.

This is actually a pretty handsome looking graphic. This is the kind of stuff I would like to see the city use in its marketing instead of the same old tired photos of the cone or union station (not to diss on those icons), but seriously there’s gotta be more interesting ways to depict Tacoma other than the same old scenes of brick and glass. At the very least, if this graphic were a t-shirt or x-mas ornament, I’ll take two.
