The Indochine Empire Is Expanding

We used to go to Sars Oriental Cuisine (Thai, Cambodian, and Great Steakburgers!) at 4612 North Pearl for several years in the days before there was a Thai restaurant on every block.  A sharp eyed tipster noted a work truck in front of the building today.  A little online digging revealed that changes are coming the old drive-in spot.  What did he find?  That the folks that run Indochine bought the site last September.  The empire expands!  Indochine is spreading.

Indochine Cafe – 2045 Mildred

Plus the Federal Way locations…

It took us six months to notice the sale. we’re feeling slow today.

The best line of the night came when a Hillside resident compared the dead-ending 21st Street with Alaska’s infamous “bridge to nowhere.”

Dead Ending? Do they mean how the arterial ends and goes over to 19th Street and 21st Street is then crap from Jefferson to MLK? 21st doesn’t dead end until Ainsworth Ave.

Any word on if the hearing was recorded? I’m kind of interested in actually hearing what people said since I missed it.

I think that is exactly what they meant, Jake.
