The Metropolitan Phase III to Start Soon?

Plans are in the works for a third tower of the Metropolitan. We see a land use permit application for a 160,656 square foot mixed-use building at 252 Broadway just downhill from Phase II.
The project would include more than 100 residential units, over 200 parking stalls, and 3,000 square feet of retail space on the currently vacant 0.7-acre site.
The development still has to make it through the permitting process, and we don’t have a timeline yet.
State Farm coming to town. Plans moving ahead for The Henry. California developers investing in Chelsea Heights (and maybe more). Add this to the optimists’ list of signs that good things are stirring in Tacoma’s real estate scene. Maybe?
