The Polar Express Film and 64th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting

The Broadway Center will kick off the holiday season on Saturday, November 28, 2009 with the family film The Polar Express at 3:00 p.m. in the Pantages Theater and the 64th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting. Admission to the movie also includes complimentary candy canes and hot cider.

Immediately after the film, the tree lighting festivities will begin at 5:00 p.m. in the Pantages Lobby. This community gathering is a free event and includes community guest speakers, dedication of the holiday tree, as well as a special visit from Santa Claus.  

Tickets to The Polar Express are on sale now for $9. Tickets may be purchased through the Broadway Center Box Office at 253.591.5894, toll-free 1.800.291.7593, in person at 901 Broadway or at broadwaycenter.org.

    Can someone please tell me why the original Holiday Tree looks wonderful when they first put it up,but then they shear off all the branches and what remains is a spitting image of The Charlie Brown Christmas Tree?
