The Weather is Mighty Fine Today ...

As it became apparent that maybe, just maybe, this weekend wasn’t going to bring about another unreasonable snowpocolypse, our friends started talking about Spring. We heard rumors of grilling in the backyard, longer dog walks, planting the garden, and bike rides far out of town. Today, the weathermen are claiming highs in the 70s and most of our friends are trying to get out of the office as soon as possible.

So, now that we’re thawing out (hopefully) and considering the thought of Spring and beyond, what do you most look forward to when the weather is warm in Tacoma?

I’m really amazed at this weather. I was helping to dismantle the hot tub show they had at the convention center over the weekend today and it was so great to be outside in the sun.

One of my very favorite things to do when the weather is like this is to take my breakfast and coffee out to the table in my backyard and take my time with the newspaper.

I’ll be celebrating the return of Helios by working until 6am tomorrow morning.

    <sarcasm> Yaaay </sarcasm>

But I assure you, I will be at my community garden tomorrow after work planting my Walla Wallas.

Me? I look forward to rides without water. Riding my mountain bike, riding my motorcycles, and best of all, riding my horse, Ben, outdoors without the need to deal with any mud.

That and being able to look up when I walk around Tacoma and not having to squint against the rain.

Oh, and the sound of the frogs in my pond and the birds in the morning and being able to leave the windows open all day and night.

Best of all are the smiles on everyone’s faces.
