This weekend: get psyched for Halloween - or another holiday...

It’s October, and that means pumpkin patch and corn maze season. We’re a couple weekends out from Halloween, and the weather forecast is looking great for wandering around in corn fields. We found a listing of such attractions at www.pumpkinpatchesandmore.org, but we’re wondering … do you have a favorite Tacoma area pumpkin patch?
For other seasonal fun, this just might be the weekend you finally get around to seeing the Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Blue Mouse. The weekly showing at Tacoma’s nearly 90-year old theater is a Tacoma tradition, and we think the show, with it’s scary setting, scary characters, costumes and transvestites just might make the perfect warm-up for Halloween. But be prepared: audience participation is encouraged. Read what the Blue Mouse has to say at bluemousetheatre.com
If you’re looking for non-Halloween-related things to do this weekend, we’re thinking like the stores and looking ahead to other holidays. Get your Thanksgiving good deed done early with the BASH Turkey Run on Saturday, which will raise money for Thanksgiving dinners for hungry families. As a bonus, it looks like a great day for a ride.
And if you’re ready to start thinking Christmas, this Sunday and Monday the Tacoma Little Theater will be holding auditions for this year’s production of A Christmas Carol. For more on your chance to make it big, check out www.tacomalittletheatre.com.
Tis the season… Are you ready?
