TNT Arts Writer Criticized in Letter

Today’s News Tribune had a decent letter criticizing their resident arts writer that made me want to scream, “Exactly” and link to the letter without comment. But I cannot find the letter anywhere on the Tribune website. The letter begins:

Why does The News Tribune have an arts writer who has so little interest in Tacoma? I pay attention more than many to the articles as I have volunteered with some of the local organizations. It is painfully obvious the paper has favorites. The Glass Museum can do nothing right, yet how many glowing endorsements of Janeanne Upp did we read? I was confused until I read Jen Graves’ review of the Tacoma Actors Guild’s production of Sartre’s “No Exit.” She can’t separate what she likes from what is well-done. She doesn’t seem to know there should be a difference…

Exactly.

Build it in Tacoma and they will fill, should be the new theme for Mr. Haub on Pacific Ave. Why loose downtown employees to F.W. Keep them downtown with new high rise construction.

Dad used to say, “Hope for the best, be prepared for the worst”.

Just think the about the naming rights that could be sold.

The “Tacoma State Farm Dome” or “Western State Farm Hospital”…
