Todd Matthews to Receive SHPO Award

The word on the street is that one of the State Historic Preservation Officer’s Awards for 2007 is heading to Todd Matthews of the Tacoma Daily Index.  His coverage of the First United Methodist Church, Winthrop Hotel, and streetcar discussions resulted in a well deserved nomination.  If you don’t know Todd, you definitely should.  We’ve seen his name recently in City Arts, Seattle Magazine, and, always, in the Tacoma Daily Index.  He’s one of the best reporters we know and his daily beat is the streets of Tacoma.
