Tollefson Plaza Contract?
According to the BIA Blog, the contract for the management of our city’s award winning Tollefson Plaza is nearly complete. Enough of the deal is complete that details were presented to the City’s Government Performance & Finance Committee yesterday. The Chamber would be the primary manager of the site. The plaza needs trees (and other landscaping) to attract people, events will not be enough!

Does a vacant lot require management? I’m at least happy that the city will not be paying the Chamber for this, on the other hand any payment would be too much.
You only have to walk a few blocks south on Pacific to find signs of life and public spaces that are well utilized. Can Tollefson Plaza compete with this? Should it even bother? Sometimes it is best to admit your failures and move on, hopefully learning from said failures.
