Are you the head of your Neighborhood Watch chapter? Have you made more than one citizen’s arrest? Do you simply want to learn more about the Tacoma Police? Then this class is for you.
If you’re interested in how a police department operates and the policing challenges that face the Tacoma Police Department, you’re encouraged to sign up for the Citizens Academy Class #44.
Instructors of the Citizens Academy are officers and personnel from the department and other agencies who speak on their area of expertise. The class will include lessons on the Gang Unit, K9, SWAT, and Forensics. Interested?

I say try it. You may be surprised. I’ve done a number of ride-alongs with various departments and have always come away having learned something new.
