Tribune Publisher Heads To Sacramento 'Bee'

Cheryl Dell, the publisher of the News Tribune, is leaving Tacoma after a little more than three years. She’s moving on to work with her third McClatchy newspaper, the Sacramento Bee. After having started with the Tri-City Herald before coming to the TNT, the move to the Bee would make her the publisher to the corporation’s hometown paper.

McClatchy will be looking to hire a new publisher for the Tribune soon.

Cheryl, good luck in your new post.

As a proud California expat (and, more specifically, a native of the glorious Central Valley), I must say:

Where but for the grace of God go you, Cheryl. Try not to take a wrong turn in Stockton.

What is up with that dog database? It’s not complete, to begin with, but why is that information being published? Is it public record? I’ve never lived in a city where it was published before. That’s insane.

Yes, it is public record. The folks at the News Tribune are having a little too much fun with their newfound ability to use/create/combine databases and apparently thought busting out a story on Fido would be cute.
