TSO Presents the Phantom of the Opera
Here’s one of those events that you will remember for a very long time. This Sunday, watch the classic silent movie Phantom of the Opera at the Pantages Theater. The circa 1925 film will be shown in its entirety, featuring live accompaniment by the Tacoma Symphony Orchestra. Music Director Harvey Felder will conduct the TSO in an original score by Hollywood composer Rick Friend, who will be featured on piano and keyboards.
We’re into it. See you there?

At the Grand we played Lon Cheney’s “The Unknown” with live music to go with it way back in 2004. I highly recommend this kind of experience. It’s very cool.

Live orchestras with silent films are definitely cool. I got to play in an orchestra accompanying Chaplin’s Modern Times a few years ago in Olympia, way fun…

Glad to see the Tacoma Symphony doing something a little outside the box in addition to their regular season. Very cool.
