Update on Ronnie Allen Warren's Residency Challenge

The challenge to Ronnie Allen Warren’s residency in the Tacoma District 3 city council race went before a judge this morning.

The TNT’s Political blog noted yesterday that it was unknown whether Ronnie Allen Warren would appear this morning as the court’s hadn’t been able to serve him.  Did he appear?  Yes. Although he was 35 minutes late and claimed he was never served with papers.  Yet, he made it.  A little bird must have told him where to be this morning.

The end result… The challenge was filed too late.  The judge is letting the race go forward with Warren’s name on the ballot since ballots have already been mailed and the voter’s pamphlet has been printed. However, the case will remain open. If Warren were to win the race against Lauren Walker, then the judge will act on the challenge.
