Urban Garage Sale this Saturday!
The Tacoma Theatre District Association in partnership with the Tacoma Historical Society present the First Annual Urban Garage Sale & Bazaar. Downtown residents, merchants, visitors, and friends are invited to join the festivities to help raise money for the installation of a tile mural in the newly rejuvenated park on Ledger Square. The mural will depict an amazing gathering of people on that site from Sunday October 10th, 1926 as fans waited to hear the results of the World Series. This is about more than simply buying and selling. It’s about bringing people together!

Donate to the Silent Auction or Volunteer to staff the event.
Give art, travel, dinner, professional services, time-shares, etc.
We’ll be donating several things including a foosball table, movie seats that once sat in the Blue Mouse Theater, and a few other treasures from the home office. Can you help?

Just talked with Rick. He’s really excited and open to having anyone with an interest in downtown Tacoma come down and help out, hang around, let people know about your business and/or services, or perform. He’s still looking for performers and donations! Yay for semi-spontaneous communal gatherings!
