UTBA Hosts Open House Tomorrow!

The Upper Tacoma Business District will be hosting to the first stop on our Neighborhood Business District Showcase. On May 22, from 4 – 7pm, Martin Luther King Jr. Way will be seeing green! People’s Park will be transformed into a bocce field, and local business owners will be sharing their stories. Businesses along MLK Jr Way will be open and handing out “UTBA Bucks” for drawing entries. The drawing will be held in People’s Park at 7pm, unless its raining, in which case check across the street at the Tempest.

You all asked, and we are here to please. Old time readers will remember our games of bocce in Wright Park, and due to reader demand, Exit133’s bocce nights are back. Ever wanted to meet other commentors or us? We’ll be playing every week possible during the Showcase, watch Exit133 for ongoing details, and great prizes will be given out. Winners of the evening games will receive prizes, and the winner at the end of the summer will be crowned the “Best Bocce Player in the Universe”. At least in Tacoma’s universe.
