UWT CIVITAS Mayoral Forum on Oct. 16th

There are only a few weeks left to pose your great questions to our candidates for Mayor and City Council. And, since we know you like to talk about urban issues in our city…

CIVITAS, a student run organization at UWT, invites you to attend a forum on urban issues with Tacoma’s mayoral candidates. Jim Merritt and Marilyn Strickland will discuss questions posed by the public and CIVITAS about urban issues facing Tacoma. Dr. Mark Pendras, Assistant Professor at the University of Washington, Tacoma will moderate the event. The forum’s direction will largely be determined by the public’s questions. CIVITAS will intermittently pose questions to the mayoral candidates concerning education, land-use, transportation, and other urban issues. There is no charge for this event.
