Valentine's Prom and Erotic Art on Feb 10th

The Dockyard Derby Dames Valentine’s Day prom is tomorrow night and should be a blast.  It’s at the Varsity Grill upstairs this Saturday, 2 to 10 pm.  It’s a fundraiser for Tacoma’s Dockyard Derby Dames roller derby league.  Admission is $15 a person, or $25 a couple.  Appetizers, party favors, and DJ’s spinning 80’s music are provided.  Prom pictures will be available.  A King and Queen will be decided, and some video of the Dames last bout will be playing on the Varsitys new video projection system.  All money raised goes to support funding of DyDD’s upcoming bouts (Ft. Lewis, Parkland, Downtown Tacoma at the Soccer Center (as well as a late season bout vs. Seattle’s hugely popular and successful Rat City Rollergirls at the same venue).

Tickets available at the door, or online BrownPaperTickets.

Not your thing?  How about Kulture Lab’s Valentine Erotic Art Show?  Saturday from 7 to 10 pm at 608 South Fawcett – next to the Grand Cinema 18+ please.  We’ve been warned that if nudity offends, this show is probably not for you.  This should be a great show.

No excuses.  What are you doing tomorrow?

The sad part is I bet they do quite well out there in that suburban sprawl mad-house.

Very exciting news, to be sure. No doubt they will make a killing out there in Puyallup. Not sure if the name works, however.

Hmmm…. maybe Sassy will be driving to 156th and Meridian for tanning?

My blanched, sickly, sun starved skin terrifies small children & grownups alike now that UTS is gone. I seek a new place to tan my lily white arse so people will stop asking me if i’ve been sick…but I think that will be a bit too far to go. Plus I’m still pissed about paying for a month I didn’t get to use last time.

I know it’s not fashionable to like sprawl or whatever on this blog, but I always have fun visiting my spray tanned, Sunrise dwelling, fake Louis Vuitton toting stepford wife friends in the burbs. And coming home to Tacoma. To each his own.

Mmmmmmm Pizzeria Fondi! They have awesome real italian style thin crust pizza. Now I won’t have to drive to Gig Harbor or Kent to get some.

I would rather drive to Gig Harbor than Puyallup any day. I also think they will do quite well in Puyallup. They like the year-round fake tan out there.

Question remains though… just the same name or is it also the same ownership?

New ownership. The previous owner left town and went off the deep end.
