Victory Music Gone?
We drove by Victory Music and noticed the posters were gone off the windows and the interior seemed vacant? Anyone know where it went?

This little place has been pretty much inoperative for years.

Yea, I never saw any activity there and figured they left the posters just to hide the interior. Could make a great convenience store location! ;)

Does anybody actually know what Victory Music does/did? Was it some kind of booking outfit for the Rialto, Tacoma Dome, and so forth?

I think Victory promoted folk music events, put out a newsletter, etc. Maybe this wasn’t their only office? I don’t know a lot about it. I assumed that the general “empty looking” aspect just mean that they had use for an office but had no full-time staff.

<a href=“http://www.victorymusic.org/”>Victory Music</a> is, by way of their home page, “a non-profit organization founded in 1969 to support local acoustic, jazz, blues and folk music.”
Most prominently they release a newsletter called the Victory Review and run the long-standing acoustic open mic at the Antique Sandwich Company. They are also heavily involved with the production of Wintergrass every year. They are still alive and well, though that office location clearly is not.

Don’t think of Victory Music being gone but rather what new and exciting use may be made of the location. I know it is in a borderline kind of location but I’m sure the space would be used for some purpose that will benefit the area.
I haven’t seen much in the way of activity at this location for quite some time. I hope a brave and creative new tenant will be found for the space. A lot of potential on that corner. A lot of hurdles as well. Please, though, no more mini marts along the lines of the ones we already have.

On the way back from the gym last night (during the Superbowl, no less), the lights were blazing and someone appeared to be inside painting (or something similar). So there may already be something going on here…
