Volunteer for the Tacoma City Marathon

The Tacoma City Marathon is less than a month away. Are you running? If you’re not running, why not show your Tacoma spirit and consider volunteering?

As many of you know via the complex interwebs, I ran in the Oakland Marathon last week. It was Oakland’s first marathon in 25 years and the civic pride was tremendous. While the organized event and the local runners were great and supportive, it was the volunteers and community that really made it special. It was tremendously inspiration to be thanked and invited back by the people working water stations, intersections, or simply standing on their porches cheering the runner on. It was the atmosphere of the city that made it so unique.

Tacoma’s marathon is on May 2nd, 2010. Can you help? I will personally find 5 new volunteers. I may even be running … we’ll see. My hope is that you can help me find another 15 people for a total of 20 Exit133 recruited volunteers. What do you think? Can you make it?
