Happy W Day

There’s something going on around town this week.  It’s the 150th birthday of the University of Washington.  While the Tacoma campus hasn’t been around for nearly that long, you’re going to see a lot of purple tomorrow, in celebration of the event.  They’re calling it W-Day, and celebrating with cake and activities on Friday from 12:30 to 1:30.  Alumni and Husky fans are invited to wear purple, and watch for signs of the celebration around town (hint:  it may involve a digital billboard on I-5 South near the Tacoma Dome…).  Happy W Day UW; here’s to another 150 years.
